Past Symposia Organized by the Society
Mentioned below is a brief outline of some of the major National and International Symposia organized by the Society in reverse chronological order.

A National Symposium on Microbial Diversity and Plant Health was organized between November 29-30, 2007. Information about the event, including topic coverage has been archived here for reference.

The society organized an International Symposium on Agriculturally Important Micro-organisms: Conservation, Bioremediation and Ecological Significance on the occasion of the Society's Golden Jubilee Celebration from 23rd to 25th February, 2006.

A National Symposium on Perspectives of Plant Disease Management in the 21st Century was held on 1st October at OUAT Bhubaneshwar under the banner Indian Mycological Society - Orissa Chhattisgarh Chapter.

On February 15-16 2003, a National Symposium on Current Trends in Research on Micro-organisms was organized, and this time also the response was overwhelming.

In the year 2002, another National Symposium was organized on Frontier Studies in Microbes and Host Microbe Interaction. It was received very well, with as many as eighty papers presented.

The Society organized a National Symposium on Tropical Mycology in the 21st Century during 8-10th February 2001 where about 66 research papers were presented.

A National Symposium on Interaction of Plant pathogens in the Host was organized on February 25-26, 1983. 21 quality papers were presented by renowned researchers from all over the country.

The Society organizing a National Symposium on Recent Advances in Mycology and Plant Pathology on September 22-23, 1979, on the occasion of it's Silver Jubilee celebrations. This symposium was the first one of it's kind organized by the society, and was a reasonable success with as many as 30 research papers presented by eminent scientists.
